Ahmed El-Bashir Ismail
Biography
Ahmed El-Bashir Ismail is a Sudanese musician, singer, theatre director and actor. He started his journey in the music world when he was 7 years old.
Ahmed El-Bashir is an oud player. Oud is the most popular Sudanese string instrument and has its own roots in the African/Arab musical world. Bashir is an emerging musician. He wishes to introduce the Sudanese music (folkloric music) to the Canadian public.
In addition to oud, Ahmed plays mandolin, violin and is presently learning to play guitar. Ahmed has been performing in different community events since his arrival to Canada. Ahmed is looking forward to expanding his musical abilities to the professional level.
The Iimmigrant Culture & Art Association is mentoring Ahmed and plan to showcase his achievements.
Ahmed El-Bashir performs oud in the Sudanese community programs.
