Biography
Danuta was born in Poland, earning her diploma in Commercial Art and Advertising before setting her roots in Canada more than 20 years ago. She expanded her studies by taking many additional art courses at Dundas Valley School of Art, ranging from Graphic Design to Creative Watercolor. Danuta likes to continually try different approaches and techniques. She currently has a portfolio that includes a variety of media froms, incuding computer graphic design, publishing, children's book illustrations, oil and acrylic painting, watercolor, portraits in pencil, and window painting, as well as huge murals for private and commercial clients.
"There are two loves in my life: my two beautiful daughters and my artwork. Of course, my kids come first, but working for myself gives me an opportunity to fit my job into our lives and not the other way around." Danuta considers herself to be a 'realistic' painter and loves to paint nature, fruit, people and flowers. She is also fascinated with old Italy and Greece and enjoys painting old broken vases, pottery, columns and walls.
Danuta currently lives and creates in her home studio in Dundas, Ontario.
As an artist, Andrew continues to be deeply moved by the magic that is happening. Without planning, he continues to create beautiful art. On his own time, Andrew studies art theory, music, and visits art galleries, as well as working on the web and with non-profit organizations. Andrew is an avid traveller and has travelled to New York and Mexico in 2006. In 2007 he hopes to travel much more, if funds allow it.
